Police raid in Azhakodi Devi Temple, devotees attacked, temple under Govt.'s control6/2/2007 3:45:27 AM HK
KOZHIKODE: Police today attacked hundreds of Hindu devotees & Hindu Aikya Vedi activists when they protested against the government's move to take over the Azhakodi Devi Temple & its properties. Later Police arrested hundreds of devotees including large number of woman & children and taken them in to the Police custody.

The Police and govt. employees of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, controls by the CPM government forcibly takeover the cash, properties, furniture & bank account details of the temple and handed over to the Government’s executive officer.

Hindu Aikya Vedi and other Hindu organizations state leaders are on the way to Kozhikode to take further course of action and the decision will be announced later today

Are Hindu temples in enemy hands that the government has to forcibly take them over with a military-like operation? If Hindu temples are, for the Government, in enemy hands - then surely Achuthanandan is running a Pakistani government in Kerala.
