Bypassing the Bid, Ayyapa's Aravana contract to a Muslim 10/1/2007 6:21:31 AM HK
Kochi: In an another attempt to defame Sabarimala, Communist controlled Devaswom Board decided to grant the permission to make Aravana (Swami Ayyapan’s favourite Offering) to a Muslim.
This decision is by by-passing the rules and regulations in practice for years. Now the permission is granted to one Shanavas of Noorunadu Elite India Exporters ridiculing the whole bidding process.
As per the initial bidding the quote of Shanavas was fourth, which he quoted Rupees 7.90 for one Tin. Others who took part in bidding quoted 5.43, 5.94 and 6.60 Rupees.
Citing that the person who quoted Rupees 5.43 has connection with Panchami Packs who did last time’s Aravana making, TDB rejected his quote and contacted Shanavas and made a fresh contract with him for Rupees 5.90.
The others who quote less than Shanavas, 5.94 (hiruvananthapuram Sastha Kripa ) and Venkiteshwara dairy farm of Andhra Pradesh which quoted Rs 6.60 were not informed about this issue of fresh contract to Shanavas.
This directive to give the Aravana making to a Muslim is against the Central Vigilance Committee’s directive.
Vested interest had always tried to create controversy in connection with Aravana making each and every time. Once it was the story of Rat Tail in Aravana, The Police enquiry into it hasn’t reached any where. Last year it was near the Aravana plant were the Intelligence arrested the Jihadi terrorists.
A Month away from the starting of Sabarimala season, the confusion prevailing in Aravana making is going to have a downbeat effect on the Ayyapa’s favourite offering.
It’s also a reminder to all SECULAR Hindus that how adversely the Temple rituals can be affected when it is headed by a hard core anti Hindu Minister in the helm

Unless the principle of "All Hindu temples and its affairs to be handled only by Hindus" is laid down, we would have all sorts of "legitimate" encroachers. The secular question would be, if Muslims can have darshan of Ayappa, why can't they run the affairs of Sabarimala? When the call for allowing non-Hindus into temples materialises, the consequence would be that temples would no longer be a Hindu affair. If in our broad-mindedness we have supported non-Hindus' entry into temples, the time has come for a re-think.
