TDB urged to review ‘aravana’ manufacturing contract

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Hindu Aikyavedi has urged the Travancore Devaswom Board to review the decision of awarding the aravana prasadam manufacturing contract to A S Shanavas, the managing director of Elite India Exporters, who was shortlisted in an allegedly improper manner.Addressing newsmen here on Friday, Aikyavedi state secretary K Haridas and district secretary P R Shaji said the board shortlisted the contractor, whose quotation was not the lowest among the 11 bidders for the deal, with ulterior motives.

Our broad-mindedness, even to the extent of allowing non-Hindus into temples, must only be to allow everyone to benefit from our culture, not to permit suicide bombers to come in and blow up our culture. Hindu affairs must be totally run by Hindus and be totally under Hindu control. No non-Hindu should be given any contract on any matter concerning Hindu temples.
